Do you think family planning is significant to Ghana’s development? Is it important to you? Is it important to your family? Are you on family planning?

We visited Chorkor in Accra Ghana where large families live in compound houses. Madam Agnes lives here and has four children. There are aunties, uncles and other relatives who look after them. But Agnes has come to an important realization. She simply cannot afford to have any more children for the time being. The husband agrees. But Agnes is however not sure where to seek family planning services. She has decided to visit the nearest health facility within her community to speak to a professional. According to her, she is glad she made the right decision. Now, Agnes can confidently focus on raising a healthy and happy family.
